Sea World at the Trafford Centre

Take the kids on an educational and exhilarating journey into the underwater depths of the world's oceans, lakes, rivers and reefs. This is a fantastic day out for all the family where the kids can stare in awe at all the wonderful sea life and even get involved in a spot of turtle feeding! Legoland Discover Centre

With over 2 million Lego® bricks in this indoor attraction, kids will love Legoland® Discovery Centre Manchester. Ideal for families with children aged up to 12 years, and perfectly based within the Trafford Centre Shopping Mall, kids can let their imagination run wild with Lego® rides, 4D cinema experiences, Miniland and much more.

People’s History Museum

Kids will love the hands-on exhibitions in every gallery and the People’s History Museum organises regular kids activities. Recommend even for families with younger kids as the Busy Bee explore packs are fantastic way for little ones to discover the museum and you can even have a picnic in the Engine Hall. The museum is located less than 1.5km walk from us on Bridge Street.

Imperial War Museum

The multi-award winning museum explores how people’s lives have been and still are shaped by war and conflict. The Imperial War Museum North is situated on the Quays. If you hop on the Metro from Shudehill you can change to the Eccles-Piccadilly Line (pink) to Harbour Quay stop, the museum is then less than 10 minutes walk.

Heaton Park

You can easily reach Heaton Park by taking the Metro directly from Shudehill to the Heaton Park stop, as well as enjoying the open spaces, sports pitches, playgrounds, rowing boats, Pitch & Putt and kitchen gardens kids will love the Animal Centre (home to goats, sheep, alpacas, rabbits, poultry and more). The park regularly hosts outdoor theatre, events and funfairs – checkout their site for the current programme.

Manchester’s Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI)

From the first steam-powered mills and worlds first passenger rail line to microcomputers and genetic engineering, innovation is the heart of the city. Let kids large and small get their hands on MOSI's interactive exhibits and vintage vehicles, meet historical characters and watch demonstrations of original machines.

MOSI 4D Cinema

For a cinematic experience for all your senses visit MOSI’s 4D Theatre. See 3D films with added effects including water sprays, air blasts, lighting and even moving seats!

Go Ape! Rivington

Let your little monkeys Go Ape at this outdoor adventure centre in Rivington, approx 35 minutes drive. Tackle high wire bridges, scramble up rope ladders, swing across gorges like Tarzan and crawl through tunnels for an action packed day out.
